Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
Selecting from a talent pool of incredible designers, brands, and companies, LVMH recently announced the award’s 20 nominees for the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
Looking at creatives from all over the globe, the nominee’s list selected by a panel of experts includes names such as Peter Do, Casablanca, Nicholas Daley, Priya Ahluwalia’s Ahluwalia Studio, and Tomo Koizumi. Heading to Paris on February 27 to participate in a showroom organized at LVMH Group headquarters, the semi-finalists will battle it out for €300,000 and a yearlong bespoke mentorship program from a dedicated LVMH team. Speaking on the participants, LVMH’s Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, Delphine Arnault said they ‘all share an innovative vision, resolutely focused on the future, in terms of their research into new materials, use of bio-textiles or recycled fibres, concern for new artisanal techniques, and desire for local reasoned production. This year, it is worthy of note that more and more designers are working in collectives, with six duos and one trio represented among the semi-finalists.”
