Streetwear and luxury mainstays Off-White and Italian footballing giant AC Milan have teamed up to unveil their “Wear Your Heart on your Sleeve” campaign, debuting their first off-the-field pieces.
Having recently come together to announce their Style and Culture partnership, Off-White and AC Milan have revealed imagery for their first off-the-field uniform, opting for both formal and informal tones. Staying true to the design ethos of the Virgil Abloh-founded brand, the “Wear Your Heart on your Sleeve” collection keeps a typically disruptive tone by reimagining traditional football motifs with cultural and subcultural influences, including an array of Off-White house prints and insignia. Designed for both the male and female AC Milan teams, more formal wear sees Off-White opt for grey stylings and put forward a double-breasted jacket adorned with vertical back striping and player numbers, matching suit-style pants with split cuffs and standout Off-White “Uniform” quote text. Moving onto more casual pieces, Off-White bring forward simple black and white long and short-sleeved t-shirts adorned with a printed “OFF” logo stamp on the centre chest, a black Off-White Arrow buckle belt, white leather sneakers, as well as a traditional football scarf sewn with hits of classic AC Milan insignia.
Featuring a host of AC Milan stars, the “Wear Your Heart on your Sleeve” campaign includes Valentina Bergamaschi, Laura Giuliani, Lindsey Thomas, and Christy Grimshaw of the women’s team as well as Rafael Leão, Sandro Tonali, Simon Kjaer, Mike Maignan, and Fikayo Tomori of the men’s team. Providing fashion and football fans with an attainable takeaway from the range, a collaboratively-branded varsity jacket crafted from white leather and adorning graphic patches, Off-White side striping, AC Milan’s Diavolo mascot and player names has been made available by the duo for a limited time only.
