London-born fashion designer Craig Green looks set to return with global sportswear outfit adidas for a sculptural reinterpretation of what looks to be the adidas Gazelle.
With the introduction of some unofficial ‘official’ looking imagery, it is widely expected that a new left-of-centre Craig Green x adidas sneaker collaboration will hit the shelves soon, with aerial images of the new structured take on the iconic Gazelle sneaker getting sneaker heads talking. Looking primed to arrive in three blue, yellow, and red colourways, the trio of new releases feature a pretty traditional roughened suede material for the majority of the upper, with the signature adidas Three Stripes and tongue branding maintaining their spot. Addressing the elephant in the room, an elasticated band is structured around a dominant overlapping gum outsole – which makes its way well into the upper – with rounded rubber add-ons sliding along these bold outer linings, creating a sneaker that most definitely came straight from the drawing board,
