Football Rules the World.
Some subconscious football stylings come to the fore here as South Korean outfit The Museum Visitor join forces with “it” footwear brand ASICS for what is set to be one of the collaborations of the year, reimagining the GEL-KAYANO 14.
Debuting in a trio of complimentary colourways, The Museum Visitor x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 goes above and beyond the usual stylings of the heritage sneaker, with the tongue flap being firmly embraced for this silhouette. Exuding a sense of modern football style, the typical runner sneaker is redesigned with a frontal and tonally coloured ASICS branded tongue flap, with the sporting outfit’s “A” logo swirling over the lace unit. Below that, the pair stay pretty close to what you’d expect from a GEL-KAYANO 14 collaboration, with the mostly mesh sneaker utilising colour-coordinated design schemes and a cushioned midsole unit as well. The soon-to-release range consists of three blue/white, black/grey, and white/gold colour iterations, with sleek gradient designs, co-branded “The Museum Visitor” and “ASICS” heel lettering, and tonal sock linings helping instil the pairs with some extra detail.
The Museum Visitor x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 pack will initially release via ASICS Korea on July 25th, whilst a global release will take place on August 16th via select retailers.
