It anybody knows its audience, it’s Balenciaga.
Launching its new “Basketball Series” today, Spanish fashion house Balenciaga looks to further explore sportswear iconography and design elements for this season, offering up an all-new basketball-inspired wardrobe ahead of the 2025 release of the much-anticipated Basketball Sneaker, a pair that was initially unveiled in the Spring/Summer 2025 and Fall/Winter 2025 collections. Coming through with some Carti codes, elevated basketball essentials are given the simple but effective Balenciaga treatment, with the now iconic Loop Sports Icon logo being utilised in tandem with basketball motifs for pieces such as a leather varsity jacket, a techno poplin tracksuit, and comfort-centric jacquard-knit tank tops and shorts. Rolling back the years, the final part of the collection includes vintage-style jersey t-shirts, drill cotton caps, and fleece hoodies, sweatpants, and shorts, all of which arrive in a wide selection of house colours and styles.
Balenciaga’s “Basketball Series” will be available to stop in select Balenciaga stores worldwide and via the brand’s website.
