PAUSE Picks: Top Sneaker Releases of the Week

Manchester’s very own Drama Call have made yet another big stride, this time alongside sportswear giants adidas. Continuing to reimagine its signature Superstar II, adidas have enlisted Drama Call’s “ear to the ground” attitude for an aqua blue styled take on heritage silhouette, utilising the latter’s starry emblem across the tongue, heel, star-stamped air holes, toe box, charm tag and well, just about everywhere. The black sneaker instils some vibrance through an icy blue outsole as well as the signature Three Stripes of adidas, whilst white laces, sock linings, and the tongues keep the balance. Manny is on the map (again.)

Bottega Veneta are going all in on dad-core, debuting its ultra-luxe Daddy Loafer in a beautiful “Fondant” brown colourway. Does much need to be said about this pair? We think not. Made in Italy? Check. Signature woven leather? Check. The best loafer you’re going to find for a while is here.

Commemorating the opening of its Osaka store in serious style, Kith have tapped New Balance once again, putting forward a wholly wearable 991v2. Think of a perfectly balanced mesh upper mixed with premium suede, smooth leather overlays, retro-style Kith heel branding and a dreamy faded blue and grey colour scheme. Ever looked at a pair of Crocs and said, “gosh, I wish that was a Nike?”. Well, wonder no more: the Nike ReactX Rejuven8 is here in a not so subtle “Barely Volt” colourway. As you might expect, a striking dose of volt yellow hits this pair, adding a Nike Swoosh to a perforated, lightweight silhouette. Summer’s almost here…

Supreme x Nike is never a release to be snuffed at, especially not when it’s an Air Max 1. This black and white iteration does a lot right with very little, stepping through with some embossed “Supreme” lettering on the heel as well as the streetwear titan’s iconic slogan: “WORLD FAMOUS.” Sneaker heads won’t pass these up.
