A new take on Nike’s 1972 classic starring Nicholas Chavez.
Nike and Jacquemus have joined forces to reimagine one of the most historic silhouettes in sneaker culture, the Moon Shoe. Originally handcrafted by Bill Bowerman in 1972, the shoe’s legacy as a boundary-pushing running prototype is reinterpreted through Jacquemus’ lens of pared-back elegance.
The updated design channels the poise of ballet with the speed-driven DNA of Nike, resulting in a sleek silhouette that bridges heritage and modernity. Fronting the campaign is actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who embodies the collaboration’s balance of performance and artistry.
The Jacquemus + Nike “Moon Shoe” will launch exclusively on the 28th September in Jacquemus boutiques, followed by a global release online on 29th September alongside a short film reveal.
