A Signature Style, Renewed

Fendi’s Colibrì is getting a makeover. First introduced on the Spring/Summer 2018 runway, the slingback has become a signature for the House, recognised by its streamlined silhouette and strap detail. Now, Maria Grazia Chiuri has reworked the style for her first collection back at Fendi, introducing the Very Colibrì for FW26.
The new version strips the style all the way back, arriving in black eel leather with a slimmer heel and deeper V-shaped vamp that gives the shoe a sharper, more elongated shape. The signature slingback straps remain, but paired with the pointed toe and pared-back finish, the Very Colibrì feels like a more classic, timeless take on the original.
To introduce the shoe, photographer Michal Pudelka takes the Very Colibrì to Rome’s Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla for The Art of Balance. The surreal campaign sees the models move through a series of choreographed poses and playful formations, while low angles and close-ups keep the Very Colibrì firmly in focus.
