We Are the Superlative Conspiracy, sildenafil better known as WeSC, has just dropped their Spring Summer 2014 lookbook. With their promise of delivering a mix of streetwear and fashion, comprised of skateboarding, art and music elements, PAUSE takes a look at their latest collection.
The lookbook is definitely reminiscent of summer. Set in a park, a playful vibe runs throughout and makes an interesting change to a typical lookbook. The new collection also reflects this with the designs focused around loud animal prints and vibrant colours. WeSC have designed some simplistic bold shorts for the upcoming season, using warm oranges and blues.
Not only are they keeping things bold and basic, WeSC have also created some louder prints for the new range with African inspired prints playing a part, as well as all over prints on men’s varsity jackets. Spring Summer ’14 lookbook also sees them create a range of denim and showing us how to style it, using dark and light shades.
There is a nice balance to the upcoming collection and offers something for people with all different tastes.
The WeSC Spring Summer 14 collection will be available soon.

Nike are bringing us yet another new All-Star collection, this time inspired by all the characteristics of the New Orleans. There are three sneakers to collect and they are as follows;
Air Up ’14: Having an all-red upper with accents of black steam like graphics Nike have confirmed the shoe is based on mimicking a crawfish. Completed with embroidered tongue and water droplets this variation is most definitely the most vivid of the three.
Air Force Low CMFT: This creation is a mix of all the prints and textures that make up New Orleans in the eyes of Nike. Using materials such as cork and collaborating them with prints including pony, gator, elephant and the beloved safari. The thought of this mix doesn’t do the actual finished product any favours. But with all of the variation on such a classic, simplistic model it definitely works.
Flystepper 2K3: Lastly is the toughest and most wearable of the three, taking aspects from the rugged skin of the Alligator Missisippiensis. Featuring an all black elevated silhouette fused with the perforated quarter panels from the Zoom 2K3 and finished with two faux alligator strap enclosures.
Being released just the day before Nike’s Baseball 2014 “Gumbo League” collection. The Crescent City Collection will be available to buy from Nike on February 13th.

B-Side by Walé is a brand that has an expansive knowledge of trends, mainly down to its designer, Walé Adeyemi, one of the UK’s highly regarded fashion designers. They have just released a greyscale lookbook to accompany their new SS14 collection.
From the lookbook it seems as the collection has taken a strong monochrome stance with their products and rather than using strong colours, have instead looked at experimented with merging mesh and cotton. Although there is the temptation to overuse mesh on products, B-Side by Walé has created a nice balance. They’ve also used mesh not only on t-shirts, but with shorts also.
From the lookbook our PAUSE pick would have to be the all over snakeskin shorts, balanced with a grey speckled tee with low neckline, creating a very casual summer look.
B-Side have also adapted the ever on-going varsity trend that many streetwear brands have been using, yet focusing much more on the typeface and mixing it up with a felt textured finish for a new take on the style.
