Purple, pink hues, orchid…you name it.
It may be the fact that the Queen turned 90. Or maybe it has something to do with Prince’s death. What about the time when Kim Kardashian wore a head-to-toe purple outfit to Kanye West’s YEEZY Season 5 show? We are not 100% sure why, but it is evident that purple will be big this season or next as you could spot the royal colour multiple times at Spring/Summer 2017 catwalk shows. This is an interesting change in traditional menswear, however, we are very excited about this bold move. Versace, Hermes and Moschino, among many others, introduced the rich royal colour in their menswear collections. If you do not feel brave enough to be rocking head-to-toe purple outfits, we, at PAUSE, suggest wearing darker colours and use purple details to help you stand out from the crowd.

Designers such as Gucci and Haider Ackerman opted for purple’s sister, pink. One of the most popular ways to wear pink was in form of a relaxed suit. According to our trend research, antique rose and orchid will both be present this spring season. Antique rose is a mid-tone that is fully saturated and it brings a sparkle to the traditional tones of pink. Orchid, the most saturated hue in the pastel palette, evolved from lighter shades of lilac and it embraces bright purple tones.
