A nod to Hubert de Givenchy’s own 80's 'Givenchy Sport' line.
Following her appointment as Givenchy’s Artistic Director in the May of 2017, Clare Waight Keller has presented her first Resort release for the French fashion house, continuing to show how she is reshaping the direction of the brand. This 2017 cruise collection is clearly influenced by contemporary athletic gear and Givenchy’s 80s-era sportswear line, ‘Givenchy Sport’.
Motivated by Givenchy’s lesser-known heritage, this branding heavy capsule features track pants accompanied by co-ordinating tops, printed outerwear including trench coats and zip-up jackets, in addition to adventurous point-toed boots and graphic Cuban-style flat collar shirts.
This ready-to-wear collection stands out against other fashion houses Resort collections, proving this British Designer has what it takes to take Givenchy to the next level.
