The Latest Chapter in an Unfolding Narrative.
Soundtracked by the empowering sounds of Steel Pulse and their lyrically astute ‘Handsworth Revolutionary’, Nicholas Daley’s collection for Spring/Summer 2024 delves into the cultural impact of roots reggae on the UK’s Afro-Caribbean community. Riffing off the documentary-style works of legendary music photographer Adrian Boot – who worked closely with both Bob Marley and Steel Pulse – the aptly titled ‘Reggae Klub’ delivers an assortment of established and newly developed styles. From the exploration of animal, tartan, and Gingham prints to signature knitwear, luxurious silk, jersey, and Irish linen, the collection subverts and matures established brand codes.
Centred around themes of personal history and collective memory, the heritage-focussed capsule is encapsulated by the original Reggae Klub tee that’s presented in a new colourway.
