Pharrell and adidas’ Superstar 92 collaboration has been through a busy few months. Debuting at Paris Fashion Week in June, the sneaker was subsequently released as a pre-launch exclusively at A Ma Maniere in Atlanta. Now, the sneakers are dropping globally over the weekend.
Released in Core White and Core Black, the classic silhouette made famous by Run DMC has been widened significantly and given a thick sole for metropolitan strolling. The sneakers extremely exaggerated silhouette has been paired with lacquered 3 stripes and slightly worn soles for a vintage appeal. Completed with Virginia written across the tongue, the sneaker is an homage to his early life in the American state.
The Pharrell and adidas Superstar 92 is set to launch on March 1st on the adidas website and at select retailers for $200. Check out the campaign imagery below.
