Guess Who Isn't Getting a Break?
The fashion industry. Now, Demna is leaving Balenciaga to become the new artistic director of Gucci, tasked with shaking the Italian fashion house out of its slump with a burst of strong creativity. Demna, Artistic Director of Balenciaga since 2015, has redefined modern luxury, earning global recognition and cementing his authority within the industry. He’ll start in early July 2025. The Georgian creative will conclude his tenure at Balenciaga with a couture show on 6th July.
“I am truly excited to join the Gucci family. It is an honour to contribute to a House that I deeply respect and have long admired. I look forward to writing, together with Stefano and the whole team, a new chapter of Gucci’s amazing story.” Demna said.
Now, who’s going to Balenciaga? We’ll see.
