Vogue's Met Gala 2025 Edition.
Vogue’s May 2025 issue spotlights the phenomenal co-chairs of this year’s Met Gala. Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams each grace individual covers that honour their unique contributions to fashion and culture. This aligns with the Met Gala’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which explores the evolution and impact of Black men’s fashion.
The Met Gala, scheduled for 5th May 2025, will coincide with the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which runs through October 26, 2025. The exhibition draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s book, “Slaves to Fashion“, and will showcase garments, paintings, and photographs that trace the history of Black men’s fashion from the 18th century to the present.
Throughout the Met Gala coverage, A$AP Rocky spoke on new music, family ties and celebrating black excellence, meanwhile Colman Domingo touched on the Joys of Style, Tailoring, and Becoming a Leading Man. Lewis Hamilton spoke on Dressing Up, Showing Up, and Making No Apologies, whilst Pharrell Williams articulately touched on Black Resiliency, Possibility, and Power.
