Utility in Motion.
For Fall/Winter 2025, Japanese label sacai and workwear specialists Carhartt WIP unveil a collaboration that sharpens the edge of utility, transforming rugged staples into elevated fashion. First teased during Paris Fashion Week in June, the collection now comes into full view, bridging workwear authenticity with sacai’s experimental spirit.
Sacai’s founder and creative director Chitose Abe applies her signature deconstructed lens to Carhartt icons, reworking durable duck canvas and classic chore coats with heavyweight knits, leather panelling and outerwear tones of deep green and brown. Moto-inspired leather jackets, chore coats with bellows pockets and asymmetric constructions bring together functionality and flair in equal measure.
What sets this FW25 drop apart is its balance between everyday wearability and refined expression. Double-knee trousers and rugged blazers are offset with tailoring cues—lapels, gold buttons and structured collars given a raw finish.
