The five-storey space introduces the brand's latest retail concept in China
Zara has unveiled its new flagship store on Shanghai’s Middle Huaihai Road, marking a significant milestone as the brand celebrates 20 years in mainland China. Located in one of the city’s most prominent retail districts, the new space introduces Zara’s latest store concept, designed to offer a more immersive shopping experience for both local customers and international visitors.
Spanning almost 2,000 sqm across five floors, the flagship houses Zara Woman and Zara Man, alongside dedicated areas for Shoes & Accessories, Zara Salon and an elevated fragrance selection. Designed by Zara’s Architecture Studio in collaboration with AIM, the store is filled with natural light, exposed structural beams and muted tones, creating a contemporary retail environment.
The opening also introduces a range of new omnichannel services, including real-time inventory access through the Zara app, assisted checkout points and dedicated return stations. Sustainability remains a focus, with the space incorporating energy-efficient systems and a used clothing collection point to help extend the life cycle of clothing.
The expansion reinforces Zara’s continued investment in physical retail, reflecting the brand’s evolving approach to modern shopping experiences as its global customer demand continues to grow.
