Matthieu did it again. Meet our latest obsession
There’s a new Chanel bag on our radar, and it’s lived rent-free in our heads since we first spotted it on the Métiers d’art 2026 runway. The oversized tote comes in dark beige and camel suede, with grained calfskin detailing, gold-tone hardware and double shoulder handles.
At 43cm wide, there’s plenty of room to work with, while several interior compartments, including a zipped central compartment, keep everything organised. For those after something a little more classic, and perhaps less risky when it comes to upkeep, the silhouette can also be found in black grained calfskin with gold-tone hardware.
Although new season, there’s something timeless about the design. The relaxed shape and minimal branding give it the kind of longevity we look for in a Chanel bag, and Matthieu has perfectly captured the essence of classic Chanel with this one. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it become a sought-after vintage find in years to come.
