Dame Pat McGrath & Nicolas Ghesquière Rework the Monogram

Earlier this year, we saw the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, marking the House’s first major move into beauty. Now, two of its Monogram canvases are being reworked as part of the line’s first extension. Dame Pat McGrath and Nicolas Ghesquière have collaborated on a limited-edition collection, celebrating the Monogram’s 130th anniversary with two very different takes on the iconic motif.

The collaboration centres on Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge. Dune keeps things light with warm beige and rose gold, while Infrarouge goes in the opposite direction with black and red. But it’s the accessories that have our attention. For the first time, the Dune and Infrarouge canvases cover the La Beauté Louis Vuitton compacts, as well as lipstick pouches, Mini Vanities, brush sets and toiletry pouches, extending the collection well beyond the make-up itself. If your beauty collection was due an upgrade, this might be it.
