PUMA Takes Its Suede to the Streets of Medellín

Celebrating The Skate Scene.

If there’s someone who knows how to pay homage to a culture, it’s PUMA. This time, the brand is taking its iconic Suede to Medellín, linking up with the city’s skate community for ‘Touching Ground’ a new creative project by photographer and director Lauren Luxenberg and Medellín skater Ronal Sanmartin. More than just a skate story, the project gets into the people, friendships, streets and traditions that give the city its unmistakable energy.

Shot across digital photography, analogue film, Super 8 and camcorder, Touching Ground is a love letter to Medellín from the inside out while It’s also a natural chapter in the Suede’s long-standing relationship with street culture, a silhouette that has been worn, reworked and claimed by generations of skaters, artists and creatives.
