For the final act of the I Heart Studios x Shoreditch Art Wall takeover we are delighted to present an artistic collaboration with their neighbours, Underated London. The I HEART STUDIOS creative team worked closely with Underated London to create a set of images that clash modern street culture with historical religious aesthetics.
Unveiled on Wednesday the 12th February, the new images take the religious iconography and renaissance themes from the SS14 Underated collection to create a dramatic background themed on stained glass windows to make a real brand statement. This backdrop is then given a modern and contemporary twist with neon colour accents throughout.
The impressive scale and location of the Shoreditch Art Wall plays the perfect host to these images. The grandeur of the stained-glass framing means I Heart could play with religious posing whilst also referencing modern youthful body language. With street culture being so influential on modern ideology, it was exciting to explore how traditional religious iconography would work with such an contemporary twist.
For I Heart Studios the originality and creativity of the Underated London collaboration reflects the rising shine and importance that London fashion brands hold within the industry, as London Fashion Week once again returns to our city.
