Along with a new sustainable line.
The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that Y/Project can not display its latest collection through a fashion show, however, the disruption which the virus has caused provided time for reflection, which has been a source of inspiration. Presenting its latest creations through the medium of a lookbook, the brand builds on the creative narrative it has created.
Using its typically playful eye, the label adds a number of panels and uses atypical patterns to distort the usual shape of garments. Often bringing a vast mixture of references into bold collections, this latest offering reinforces the eclecticism that the brand embodies.
Alongside this new collection, creative director Glenn Martens is launching a new line for the Parisian brand, titled “Evergreen”. The seasonless line will begin with sixteen signature pieces from previous seasons updated using sustainable techniques. Made entirely in the EU, a mix of organic and recycled fabrics will be used to re-create classic items taken from Spring/Summer 2017 to Fall/Winter 2020 seasons.
