Infamous shoe brand Dr. Martens and up-and-comer HEAVEN by Marc Jacobs are joining forces for the Spring/Summer 2022 season for a selection of two new collaborative shoes.
HEAVEN by Marc Jacobs has made up considerable ground in the last few months, encapsulating a 90s nostalgia aesthetic through a plethora of unisex, vibrant, and forward-thinking garments. Dr. Martens have lent their hand to HEAVEN’s journey, teaming with their creative director Ava Nirui for two collaborative interpretations of DM’s Mary Jane and Ricki sandal silhouettes.
The former pair feature an effortless slip-on style that takes inspiration from the 80s, capturing a rebellious nature by utilising classic black smooth leather stacked on a 1.5” Bex outsole and DM’s iconic yellow stitching, with the pair being completed with Heaven’s customary double-headed bear logo on the T-bar strap. The Ricki sandal utilises two straps and features a more lightweight design, using supple black Brando leather, straps that feature a brushed silver clasp with Heaven’s double-headed bear, as well as DM’s signature yellow stitching once more.
The Dr. Martens x HEAVEN by Marc Jacobs capsule is set to release on June 6th via the Dr. Martens website.
