Luxury Italian fashion house Valentino roll back the years for their latest creative venture, joining forces with world-renowned publishing company Assouline and writer Charlie Porter for their new Valentino Rosso book.

Tracking the vast history of the brand, going back more than fifty years, this latest release from Valentino sees the house acknowledge their longstanding love affair with the colour red, or ‘Rosso’, tapping 1994-founded luxury lifestyle company Assouline and established New York Times and What Artists Wear (2021) author Charlie Porter in the process. The book travels back in time and spans across the creative reigns of everybody from Valentino Garavani to the current creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, deep-diving into the rich archives of Valentino and discussing over 180 of Valentino’s most recognised and celebrated dresses and accessories. From iconic silk ball gowns and haute couture chiffon creations to nappa calfskin “Rockstud” slingbacks and other signature Valentino staples, this title looks to underline “Valentino’s unparalleled connection to one of the world’s most passionate, seductive, powerful, and culturally symbolic colors.”
