Corteiz Hits America.
Corteiz, one of the most influential names to emerge in UK streetwear this decade, is extending its reign with the announcement of its first-ever US tour, set to hit four American cities this August.
Founded in 2017 by British-Nigerian entrepreneur Clint Ogbenna – better known as Clint 419 – Corteiz is taking its distinctly British streetwear aesthetic stateside, with stops in Los Angeles, Washington DC, New York and Atlanta. Each date will feature exclusive unreleased apparel and special collaborations with local brands.
To break the news, the label dropped a cinematic trailer starring Wallo267 – the motivational speaker, activist and influencer – in a scene set inside a prison, where he sits down with the character of ‘Corteiz’ and urges him to travel and tour the US: “We gon’ rule the world,” he declares.
Staying true to the Corteiz way, the exact pop-up locations will be revealed on the brand’s Instagram Stories each morning of the tour. The announcement follows their recent link-up with BBK, which saw the British brand join forces with the iconic UK grime collective on a limited-edition capsule.
