Adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams are adding a new Tan chapter to the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish, continuing what has quickly become one of the most recognisable silhouettes in their current partnership. The model first broke through in 2025 and was later named Footwear News’ 2025 Shoe of the Year, turning Pharrell’s aquatic fantasy into a very real sneaker phenomenon. Now, the new colourway keeps that evolution moving, adding another layer to a VIRGINIA project that Pharrell describes as a space for music, community, design and imagination.
The Jellyfish still comes correct with its signature futuristic architecture: an engineered mesh upper, sculptural cage and that flowing midsole inspired by the movement of an actual jellyfish. But the real flex is underneath—the glow-in-the-dark detailing gives the Tan colourway another dimension once the lights go down. The VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in Tan lands globally August 22 via the CONFIRMED app and select retailers, with signups already open.
