Seven creatives turn glass, ceramics, furniture and textiles into 22 pieces of art for the home
IKEA’s latest collection might be one of its coolest yet. KONSTRUNDA, a limited-edition collection, brings together seven artists, designers and creatives for 22 pieces spanning furniture, glass, ceramics and textiles.
Meaning “Art Tour”, KONSTRUNDA gave each creative a blank canvas, with function taking a bit of a back seat. A glass table comes wrapped in chunky chrome, wooden blocks double as stools or side tables, while mouth-blown glass, sculptural ceramics and oversized textiles are made to be displayed as art.
The line-up includes work from Andu Masebo, Lisa Reiser, Lisa Hilland, Emanuele Stamuli and Akanksha Deo, alongside Ingrid Leander and Igor Holtermann. Expect everything from bold colours and unusual shapes to monochrome graphics, statement rugs, oversized cushions and a palm-covered floor-length mirror.
Designed to make art more accessible, the collection is all about finding pieces you like and giving your space a little more personality. With 22 pieces to choose from, there’s plenty to work with.
IKEA KONSTRUNDA launches globally in stores and online on September 1st.
