Still featuring the original colourway as when it first hit the stores just over two decades ago, the Nike Air Max 180 is back with a few alterations. These throwbacks can be traced back to the late 80’s when Nike’s Research and Development team in Oregon set out to better their already pioneering Air Technology. From this, the Air 180 was born with an era of ‘Air-volution’ to follow.
This classic has already enjoyed a number of reissues and though a few years have passed its back for 2013 as part of Nike’s Air Max Vintage Collection. Featuring a combination of suede, textile and a metallic mesh upper, comfort is the least of your worries. The shoe also boasts the original visible Air Max 180 degrees unit at the heel giving maximum impact protection.
Along with the new and improved ‘Max Air’ cushioning system, Nike has also added additional support for a ‘superior comfort’. The retro kicks have also received the ‘vintage’ treatment with a stained detail featured on the midsole and heel.
The Nike Air MAx 180 OG Vintage will be available in stores and online at Size? in sizes 5 – 12 (UK) at £97
