British designer Adrien Victor Sauvage has built a reputable name for himself over recent years since deciding to toss his basketball for a vastly different ball game all together. His menswear collections have been triumphant with heavy names such as Harrods, Oki-Ni and Matches Fashion who’ve all stocked his work and his SS14 Collection is sure to push his name further into the spotlight.
Modelled by freckled faced Jos Whiteman, the collection comprises a mixture of short-suits, heavy tailoring and more relaxed tee’s, bomber jackets and jumpers. The collection was inspired by his Nigerian born great-grandfather who was raised and educated by an irish man in Scotland. The clash of culture is evidently reflected in the use of scottish tartan whilst printed graphics depict the african savanna with barren landscapes and animals familiar with the environment. The colours are generally earthy and simple with a palette consisting of khaki greens, beiges mixed with blues, blacks and greys.
