Ontisuka Tiger have teamed up with Pesaro-born designer Andrea Pompilio to present a sporty new collection for Tokyo Fashion Week AW14.
Previous shows were held in Milan, however the collaborators took to Tokyo this season to unveil their new Urban Spaceman collection. Sweatpants, geometric prints and Daft Punk style head gear all dominated the catwalk.
The collection stays true to Onitsuka Tiger’s sportswear heritage, although the use of technical materials help bring this urban-inspired collection to a more complex level.
In the past, Pompilio has worked with massive labels such as Calvin Klein and Yves Saint Laurent, and launched his own menswear label in 2011. Throughout his career, the ready-to-wear designer has stayed true to his relaxed, yet sophisticated style.
