The MTV Movie Awards took place on Sunday 13th April, and as usual, our eyes were not on who the big winners were, but rather who was the best dressed. It seems that instead of opting for your average suit-and-tie smart-wear, this years attendees decided to keep it smart and casual.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson
The British actor, best known for his roles in Kick Ass, Anna Karenina and Savages, attended the Awards show with his wife, director Sam Taylor-Johnson. The 23-year-old presented Orlando Bloom an award on stage, and was wearing a tight black t-shirt with leather detailing on the shoulders, paired with smart black trousers.
Adrian Grenier
The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ actor was seen at the awards wearing a suit in a shade of dark plum, put together with a black shirt and black satin tie. A very dapper look, overall.
Drake Bell
Now here’s a face we haven’t seen in a while. Drake & Josh actor was seen without his ‘brother’ Josh at the awards, wearing a baby blue suit with a white shirt and floral tie, accessorised with casual canvas shoes. A summery look, that’s for sure.
Zac Efron
‘The Neighbourhood’ actor went very casual, wearing just a plain denim shirt with black jeans. Later however, while on stage that particular denim shirt came off – much to the distaste of many on twitter who claimed it was an example of male objectification and sexism… Interesting.
Orlando Bloom
Another British actor who did well in his outfit choice was Orlando Bloom. He wore a variety of different shades of blue – smart navy trousers were worn with a shirt in a hue of royal blue, with a long blazer jacket in a similar shade to his trousers. Accessorised with various necklaces, this look was casual but cool.
Johnny Depp
Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp wore a beige hat that could almost compete with Pharrell’s own, along with black casual trousers and a dark green bomber jacket, over a plain black t-shirt. Not quite Jack Sparrow, but there’s nothing not to love about this outfit.
Jared Leto
Rocker and now recently-turned actor, Jared Leto was seen wearing a pair of slip-ons, denim jeans, and an on trend black and white Hawaiian print shirt- definitely just oozing effortless cool.
