Kris Van Assche, the man in charge at Dior Homme has released the label’s Spring 2015 video lookbook for a sneak peek of what to expect.

Influenced by music with a certain kind of dark electronic edge by Baths, the video showcases some essentials such as  knitwear pieces, parkas, cable knit jumpers and leather jackets. Expect a vast array of colour palette from monochromatic black and white to classic navy and bold red, yellows and green for next Spring. There will also be cool graphic prints on shirts for a more artistic side to the collection.

Streetwear meets Pitti Uomo.

Pause Magazine Shayne Oliver Hood By Air Pitti Uomo HBA

That streetwear reign in fashion just won’t let up! New York label Hood by Air, which since was created by Shayne Oliver in 2006 has exploded into fashion. The brand has been selected to be the Pitti Special Guest in January at Pitti Uomo. A very bold and surprising move for the trade show, that historically has always been dedicated to more traditional menswear.

“I saw their first event two years ago, and ever since then I have been struck by the unique creative process developed by the HBA,” says Lapo Cianchi, communications and events manager of Pitti Immagine, ”and by their distinctive way of making each, meticulously styled collection into a strong statement about gender, social class, power and beauty. Multidisciplinary research, roots firmly anchored in underground culture, and the unexpected aspects of certain solutions are all reflected in their fashion shows where performance, music and product define each other. We know that there will be some beautiful chemistry when they meet a city like Florence.”

Hood By Air is praised by the industry for its highly creative cutting-edge collections, so we can only imagine what type of special event the brand will produce at Pitti Uomo. Only time will tell!
