For Gucci winter has never meant dreary and this year is no exception.
Gucci’s 2017 Cruise Collection features an impressive 87 looks to choose from made up of every colour combination and fabric imaginable. Instaria knitwear, tartan, order acid washed denim… Creative Director Alessandro Michele has never been one to do things by halves.
“This collection is dedicated to those men who are in love with their wardrobe. Men who like beautiful things and who like to wear different things or wear formalwear differently.” – Alessandro Michele
UK residents, like us at here at PAUSE, should feel especially at home in this collection. The 2017 Gucci Cruse Collection is a showcase of British subculture and eccentricism. You’ll recognise Teddy Boy jackets straight out of Savile Row, studded punk jackets and a nod to Preppy Britain in the form of tweed hats and coats paired with stout, round toed shoes.
Looking for punk staple pieces? Gucci’s got those covered. Preppy? There’s something for you too. Whatever your style is for 2017 there’s something for modern day dandies and daredevils alike.

The futuristic space outlaws.
Taking inspirations from South American aztecs and tribes but injecting a contemporary and urban aesthetic to it, Marcelo Burlon’s collection is a fusion of futuristic designs while combining it with some cultural references and influences. Capes, ponchos, basketball shorts, neoprene sweatshirts were seen on the runway in pixel and aztec prints as well as some space like motifs that made the models looked like futuristic space-like outlaws. Every piece was cool, edgy and had a street element to it, making it an unconventional utilitarian inspired collection. See the full collection below:
