For the spring 2016 collection designer Ryn Hayama is offering a softer and more feminine vibe to his Fingers Crossed Men’s collection, compared to the rougher aesthetic from last season. The colours include both mustard yellow, blood red, navy and black and a lot of baggy, boxy silhouettes mixed with over sized bombers.
The details add something extra to the collection, such as scarves and embroideries. The silk chiffon see-through robes was a strong move and it makes you push those gender boundaries one step further.. why not! The whole collection got a luxury lounge wear feel to it, which is nice in contrast to the never ending street wear hype.
Apart from the clothes we also pay attention to the accessories such as mixed matched sock, buckled slider sandals and a messy hair style. Hayama took some brave risks but finds a great balance in what he creates making it a much wearable collection. Sometimes it takes one person to take the lead and shake things up a little!
