Blurring the lines between streetwear and luxury.
It has just been announced that Virgil Abloh’s OFF WHITE and JW Anderson will join the likes off Raf Simons and Gosha Rubchinskiy and will showcase their Spring/Summer 2018 collections at Pitti Uomo, one of the most important menswear trade shows. Pitti Uomo is a prestigious 4-day event that has been established back in 1972. Many editors, buyers as well as retailers attend this market-facing event. JW Anderson said that he was honoured to have been asked to show at the trade show and that ”Florence’s aesthetic is beautiful, which will lend itself to be the perfect backdrop for the collection.” Virgil Abloh was also honoured that Pitti recognised his work: ”There’s an opportunity such as this one to take a traditional platform and offer a new take on it.”
