From check-in to check-out, The Bells offers a welcoming ambience, with a personal approach, and you quickly start to feel at home. In fact, you just won’t want to leave.. ever!
A mere 10 minute walk from Leeds train station, or a speedy Uber ride (yes, they have Uber up there to those Londoners who don’t have a clue; namely me), The Bells is right in the heart of it all. With a strip of bars and restaurants quite literally around the corner, and the expansive shopping district, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t discovered this vibrant city before!
The Bells opened last Summer, and was bought and renovated from a derelict building, to a seriously high spec set of apartments. No expense has been spared, from the furniture, to the bedding, to the glasses in the kitchen cupboards. The attention to detail is second to none. From the books on the shelves, to the milk in the fridge, everything has been carefully thought out. PAUSE Favourites the fact that there are plug points right next to the bed; finally a room where you can charge your phone and use it while horizontally inclined! And the beds? Well, they are like sleeping on a cloud!
With it being situated directly opposite Leeds Minster (with stunning views from every apartment) each room has been aptly named after a bell.
- The Penthouse – Big Ben
- 2 Bedroom – Emmanuel, Great George, Old Tom, Santa Maria, Little John
- 1 Bedroom – Liberty
Each apartment has it’s own unique feel and quirks, and not one will leave you feeling disappointed!
PAUSE stayed the night in Liberty. This may be the only 1 bedroom, but don’t be deceived, it is pretty big! A large living room with open plan kitchen, high ceilings and a king size bedroom overlooking the living space through a glass windowed mezzanine. Let the following images do the talking!
All apartments, with the exception of the 2 on the ground floor, boast outdoor private balconies, which is great for a sunny day and entertaining a guest or two. Two (Emmanuel and Great George) have the additional perk of an outdoor hot tub!
No on-site restaurant, but with a busy neighbourhood there are plenty of fantastic eateries, and Reception are more than happy to recommend the best places!
Similar to staying in a hotel, The Bells offers daily cleaning and linen/towel changes. Reception are also accessible should you need anything , providing guests with an emergency number for out of hours needs.
