First seen as part of Margiela’s FW18 collection and on the feet of ASAP Rocky during the ALYX afterparty at Paris Fashion Week, Margiela has just dropped the Fusion sneaker.
With a part-melted mould, the handmade destroyed Fusion silhouette dons a knitted leather upper, padded collar, patchwork detailing and heavy rubber midsole that drips onto the outsole.
Continuing with the distressed aesthetic, duct tape holds together the toe box and heel, while the midsole has a chipped paint effect to reveal the black base of the sneaker. Margiela’s label signature white stitched label is detailed onto the back of the sneaker
