More Nike collabs.
Following their collaborative HP Tailwind sunglasses, Heron Preston and Nike have linked up once again, this time offering a new sneaker collaboration.
Taking a similar approach to choosing a silhouette for the upcoming sneaker as he did his frames, Preston – a former Nike employee, opted for the 1991 Huarache Run to serve as the base for his new Huarache E.D.G.E sneaker. The sneaker will feature black and white colourway options, aswell as Heron’s signature design elements which can be found on the toebox and the heel of the shoe.
Speaking on his selection, the multi-faceted creative explained: “Having worked at Nike and understanding the full breadth of product categories the brand has to offer, I wanted to be the person to take on the challenge of identifying and celebrating new stuff.”
The sneaker, which made its official debut at Heron Preston’s Paris Fashion Week show, is expected to release exclusively on the 1st of February. Check out the sneaker in the images below:
