This free festival opens over the long weekend (25th-27th May).
Bringing you four food vendors and a “Limin” cocktail bar with plantation rum.
Limin is the name of a West Indian restaurant that opened last year by Sham Mahabir.
This three-day festival is also his making which will be held in Old Spitalfields Market.
Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, the food on offer also includes inspiration from Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica. Dishes include saltfish dumplings and West Indian garlic calypso shrimp. These tasty plates can be washed down with options like Limin’s (in)famous Rum Punch: a refreshing blend of Plantation 3 stars and OFTD rums, mango, lime, grenadine, passionfruit and bitters.
The event is also family friendly that includes face paint. I am sure the adults can get involved in this as well.
