South London-based brand Ugly Studios is pioneering new ways to create environmentally friendly but still stylish fashion pieces, with it’s latest carbon-neutral t-shirt collection.
On a mission to create sartorial pieces that are informed by sustainable lifestyles and make a statement the fashion industry’s throwaway culture, the range features gender neutral t-shirts that sport oversized silhouettes, modern shapes and bold colours, all made from GOTs certified organic cotton, screen printed with vegan ink and detailed with hand sewn labels. This capsule comes ahead of their full AW19 collection in October that will include reimagined pieces such as versatile trench coats, upcycled fleeces, organic jeans, as well as accessories.
Not only pushing the boundaries of sustainability in fashion through their designs, for this capsule Ugly Studios has also partnered with Plastic Oceans UK, a charity that’s focused on solving the plastic crisis through science, sustainability and educational programmes. Ugly Studios will be donating 10% of the profits of each t-shirt sold to Plastic Oceans UK.
