Japanese fashion legend Kenzo Takada has died in the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France on October 4.
Founder of fashion brand Kenzo, his death has been ruled as being due to “COVID-19 related complications,” according to a statement by a spokesperson for Takada’s luxury K-3 brand.
Tributes to the designer have poured in from across the industry. Having retired from fashion in 1999 at the age of 60, he continued to stay active, working on costumes for opera productions and taking up painting.
