"The prince of prints."
Supreme has delved into the history of Italian fashion designer Emilio Pucci to produce a Spring 2021 collection. Being no strange to a high-fashion collaboration, the American streetwear label has gone back into the designer’s highly influential archives.
Born into one of Florence’s oldest noble families in 1914, his surprise move into the fashion world came in 1947 when the designer was featured in Harpers Bazaar with a streamlined ski outfit. Since then, the designer cemented his place in fashion, being synonymous with his bold colour choices, abstract prints and joyful approach to womenswear.
Having been dubbed “the prince of prints,” it is only right that Supreme used the late designers signature motifs when creating this collection. The colourful prints are used to create a range of items from tracksuits and football shirts to a smoking jacket and camp-collar short-sleeved shirt.
