ERL go stripped back and abstract.
ERL’s weird and wonderful lookbook for AW22′ sets the brand apart from the rest, with its rich use of patterns and unique silhouettes giving the them an edge going into the warmer months ahead.
The label’s designer Eli Russell Linnetz is a figure that is steeped in accolades, including working with Kanye West for his ‘The Life of Pablo’ tour and photographing the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, and now his ERL brand is making strives in the fashion world.
Nominated for this year’s LVMH Prize, ERL has produced a range of standout pieces that refuse to stay unacknowledged, playing on the uncool aesthetic of American school life, with some key pieces within the range including an upcycled wedding dress, plaid blazers and shirts in oversized fits, alongside garish sweaters and quilted jackets. This collection provides a focus on anti-fashion, with a distinct rebuttal of what is cool and what isn’t being put on display here as Linnetz continues to muddy the water.
