Studio Seventeen, the Manchester-based imprint founded by Ben Whatson and Charlie Morgan, has recently unveiled its debut collection. Comprising just 14 pieces, the capsule takes its inspiration from street culture, which is then mixed with a contemporary vision and aesthetic.
Combining timeless styles with premium textures and heavyweight fabrics, key items have been dressed with the word ‘”Seventeen” branding in a bold, gothic font. Unleashed in a stealthy monochrome colour pallete, arguably the hero piece is the brand’s new varsity jacket, which arrives in a classic wool fit and is rounded out with leather sleeves and embroidered detailing on the reverse. Additional standouts include the brand’s Jacquard Knitted Sweater long-sleeved and a selection of arch logo hoodies which are offered in lighter colours such as baby blue and cream.
Launching with the mission to provide its customers with unique and original designs the founders spent two years building their supply chain to ensure the product was up to the highest possible standards that they set out to achieve as fashion enthusiasts.
Although the brand has just launched, they’ve already started to make some serious noise within the streetwear community, and we have no doubt they’re here to stay.
