Reese Cooper has officially announced his collaboration with denim powerhouses Levi’s, unveiling a 10-piece collection.
Having teased the collaboration just this week, fashion lovers didn’t have to wait long for an official announcement as Reese Cooper gave fans a sneak peek of one of his favourite pieces from the range, which looks to blend high-fashion and heritage, runway style, and workwear utility.
Unveiling a chore jacket, this piece is made up of cottonized hemp and features an upwards gradient, which boasts a dark blue on the hems, collars, and various pockets. Additional features from the chore coat include a signature Reese Cooper silver hook on the chest pocket as well as customary green Reese Cooper branding, with classic Levi’s stitching rounding out the look. The rest of the line-up features more chore jackets, trucker-style jackets, jeans, hoodies, and t-shirts, placing emphasis on authentic workwear materials and construction. The collection also places focus on utilising sustainable materials, with the entirety of the range being composed of cottonized hemp, which is an innovative technique from Levi’s® in which hemp yarn is processed to feel just as soft and comfortable as traditional cotton, or organic cotton.
Discussing the collaboration, Reese Copper stated:
“You think of Levi’s® as being cool, like the classic 501. But on the original back patch, it calls out the product’s durability with the rivets and canvas and denim. I wanted to tie together these two main components the brand was built on. For me, this was an opportunity to essentially make proper heritage workwear with a company that pioneered it.”
