Shown alongside the Dior Pre-Fall 2023 Collection.
After the initial announcement last week, we are finally blessed with ‘Dior Tears’ guest-designed by Tremaine Emory of Denim Tears which was shown at Cairo’s Grand Egyptian Museum. The Atlanta-born designer worked alongside Dior’s artistic director Kim Jones to create a capsule that celebrates the inventiveness of the French luxury house as well as the strength of its creative dialogue.
The collection sees Dior’s famed monogram combined with Denim Tears’ Cotton Wreath motif which appears on a plethora of pieces across the capsule including the iconic Saddle Bag as well as denim work jackets and mules. Signature styles from both brands are merged such as the denim and mohair textures from the luxury streetwear label with the French label’s shoe silhouettes. Other pieces include a co-branded varsity jacket, striped knit sweaters and even fuzzy socks.
