A luxurious two-piece capsule.
Although originally from the West Coast, Rhude designer Rhuigi Villaseñor taps into the East Coast – more specifically New York – for the rich culture and style that’s a part of its history. The campaign is modelled by real New York locals that are symbols of the city: Liv, an artist who can also dribble two balls at the same time, Yang Xiao Di a Chinese juggling master that has performed with Big Apple Circus and the National Circus Project, and Jared Crawford, a bucket drummer, industrial percussionist and composer.
The two-piece capsule features two standout items in the form of a Faux-Leather Down Jacket and a pair of Puma Suede sneakers. The base of the jacket is black with collegiate-inspired New York-themed patches in multiple vibrant colours being plastered around the body and the hood as well as an embroidery detail on the right chest that reads ‘The World is Yours’, a nod to Nas’ hit song from the Illmatic album. The Puma Suedes are also done in a similar fashion with an all-black premium leather upper and reptile leather heel tab that also has ‘1991’ debossed in gold.
