Placed within the burgeoning Brixton community, characterised by an abundance of expression, art and culture, premium sportswear retailer BSTN Store is coming to town.
That’s right, ever-expanding and artistically adept at the needs of its community, the south London borough extends its arms to the Munich-based retailer, slated to open their first international flagship store on January 28th 2023.
Located on Brixton Road, this striking store concept combines high-tech contemporary materials with a retro-futuristic interior to offer a distinct shopping experience. As a collaborative project between BSTN’s Creative Director Duki Cvetkovic and Sunst Studio, an integrated creative agency, the elevated sneaker and premium sportswear store achieves an appealing balance between minimalism, dynamic changes of tone and culture.
On the subject of heritage, the cultures and histories surrounding basketball are as much a part of BSTN’s DNA as the ball itself. Having now opened their third brick-and-mortar store to represent the global game more locally, nowhere could be more fitting than Brixton.
Priding itself on delivering the ultimate experience when it comes to story-telling and product releases, the flagship boasts an elevated design to accompany its offerings. From the large LED panels that adorn the walls and ceilings to the meticulous attention to detail evident in the hand-engraved bronze plaques that greet you upon entry, the BSTNstore challenges convention in every way.
As a multi-purpose event facility, the space will regularly host community events including panel talks, workshops, and charity events, making it more than just a traditional retail outlet.
In launching its new flagship store, the premium sportswear retailer celebrates the commonalities between itself and its new neighbourhood. This is just the start.
