It’s that time of year again… Festival Season is upon us! What should you do this summer? No need to look further. With a line-up of some of the biggest names in music and art, PAUSE has curated a super-special series of festivals in the UK and around the world. Dive in!

Wireless Festival – London, United Kingdom

Lo’ and behold – London’s most anticipated music festival. Consistently holding its reign as one of the UK’s best rap-curated festivals, Wireless festival boasts an impressive, star-studded line up that embraces some of the best musicians in the world.

Location: London, United Kingdom

Dates: 7th – 9th July

Lineup: Yeat, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty and more.

Sziget Festival  – Budapest, Hungary

Get ready! Summer is just around the corner, are you ready for some pop perfection? There’s no place like Budapest. As one of Europe’s most significant islands, it is often referred to as the ‘Island of Freedom.’ Sziget Festival celebrates diversity and community, bringing people from all over the world together to share their passion for music, art and culture.

Dates: 10th – 15th August

MEO Kalorama – Lisbon, Portugal

If you’re searching for an all-in-one festival-holiday, MEO Kalorama Festival has your back. Taking place in Lisbon, 2022 saw the debut of Portugal-based Festival located at Bela Vista Park. Abounding with fun and enjoyable music, some of the world’s most iconic artists hit the stage for the festival’s first ever offering. From Arctic Monkeys to Bonobo, the festival has stepped it up with their 2023 line-up. Check it out below.

CLOUD X – London, United Kingdom

Immerse yourself in it all. All hail the UK’s leading independent festival for R&B, Soul & Alt rap – CLOUD X. Featuring a jaw-dropping line up consisting of Saint Levant, Samm Henshaw, Pip Millett, Col3trane and more, the homegrown festival marks its return, back for its 3rd edition, set amidst a picturesque backdrop of breathing lake views and magical woodland. With just moments leading up to it, Beckenham Place Park is perfect place to be to end a summer of fun.

Rolling Loud – Portimão, Portugal

Following its debut in 2022, Rolling Loud will make its second appearance in Europe this year in Portugal. With a successful run under their belts, the RL crew is returning, and it’s worth noting that although Rolling Loud may be renowned across North America, they have quickly become a prominent name in the European festival scene. The hip-hop festival has a plethora of top-tier acts on display and is one you don’t want to miss.

WIDE AWAKE – London, United Kingdom

With its unmissable lineup of left-field indie, post-punk, electronica, techno, and jazz, this festival is one of London’s most exciting. If that wasn’t enough, the festival brand have also announced Aussie psych rock legends King Grizzard and Lizard Wizard as 2024 headliners.

Parklife – Manchester, United Kingdom

Parklife 2023 is one of the earliest summer festivals with its most diverse lineup to date. This annual event combines beats from multiple musical genres, including hip hop, grime, pop, rock, club, dance, and house, located in the heart of the eclectic city of Manchester.

Mad Cool Festival– Madrid, Spain

Spain and summer? I consider these two terms to be synonymous. Mad Cool Festival announces this year’s edition in Madrid, featuring a captivating summer line-up. Whether you’re looking for sun, sounds, or freedom, here you’ll find the ‘coolest’ of artists. Pun intended.

Dates: 6 – 8th July

Line-up: Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Machine Gun Kelly, Janelle Monáe, Mumford & Sons and more.

Bilbao BBK Live – Bilbao, Spain

In addition to their already star-studded line-up, BBK Bilbao Live will take place over 6-8th July 2023 in the beautiful Basque region of Spain. This year the festival has confirmed the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine, Röyksopp, Jamie xx, Phoenix, Idles, SHERELLE and M83. You don’t want to miss it!

Glastonbury– Somerset, United Kingdom

It may be an oldie… but the line-up this year is a definite goldie. For this year’s Glastonbury, Somerset continues to host a wide range of genres and artists. With some of the world’s most iconic music contributors expected, this festival continues to lead the British festival scene.

Line-up: 21st – 25th June

MVSON WORLD – Manchester, United Kingdom 

The MVSON WORLD immersive experience will take place on Saturday July 15th 2023 at Manchester Barton Aerodrome.

Mason Collective is one of Manchester’s hottest house acts. They will be joined by a cross-section of the most notable names in music, known for their electrifying sets and in demand sold out events. The contemporary house scene is bursting with names like fabric resident AJ Christou, Cocoon star wAFF, and other familiar names such as Calvin Clarke, Fletch, Fleur Shore, Jean Pierre, Joella Jackson, Joseph Edmund, Mason Maynard, Max Dean and several others.

The festival includes three unique stages of music, mind and wellness activities, interactive art installations, independent food and drink vendors, and an art and creative market.

Balaton Sound – Zamardi, Hungary

Cala Mijas– Malaga, Spain

AVA Festival – Belfast, Ireland

AVA – Belfast’s flagship festival has announced their mega selection of Irish artists and fresh headliners for this year’s edition. From Sally C, Holly Lester, Kessler ++ to Central Cee, Eliza Rose and SlowThai, it’s about to go down – staying true to its electronic roots alongside their wider array of sounds.

SUPERBLOOM – Munich, Germany

Move over, there’s a new festival on the horizon and it’s called: SUPERBLOOM. This year, SUPERBLOOM will be pink, having cemented its position in the European festival scene with a sold out first edition in 2022 and winning “Best New Festival” at the “European Festival Awards”.

Dates: 2nd – 3rd September
