If you hadn’t realised already, the adidas Samba is the shoe of 2023, continuing its popularity streak from 2022 into the new year. Upping the levels even further, it looks as though brand collaborator Pharrell Williams will be reimagining the low-lying pair himself.
Debuting in a new “Lilac” colourway, which firmly stays in line with the colour palette Pharrell typically opts for, this newest edition of the adidas Samba looks set to follow on from collaborative efforts with KITH and Sporty & Rich and cement this iconic silhouette as the shoe of the summer. Being teased via “arab_lincoln” on Instagram, this renowned creative seemingly confirms the official nature of this pair, stating this pair are “that new new courtesy of @pharrell @humanrace @adidasoriginals.” Getting into the pair itself a bit more, the sleek sneaker features this standout shade of lilac across the entirety of the leather upper, including on the adidas Three Stripes, with waxed laces, adidas tongue branding, and a transparent gum sole completing the main design features of the soon-to-release pair.
Whilst no release date has been set for the Pharrell x adidas Samba Humanrace “Lilac” as of yet, a drop is expected at some time this summer. Stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
